TeacherLINK, an online teacher resource for public educators and students, is provided as a free public service by the Adele and Dale Young Education Technology Center (the YETC) and Utah State University's Emma Eccles Jones College of Education and Human Services.

This section of TeacherLINK contains materials for teachers. Utah State University's College of Education students or YETC staff prepared them to be freely distributed to educators. We also gathered public domain materials that would be of interest to educators. Feel free to browse through this collection. Download items that would be useful to you as you teach.

The Internet Classroom Guide

With the Internet, teachers have the tools to open a new world to their students. The learning experience is enhanced by interactive activities and virtual field trips, which is much more interesting than traditional methods. Other than that, students can learn how to do research on the Internet, and practice online safety when they are doing Internet exercises. Here are some resources for teachers who want to introduce their students to the Internet classroom.

Homeschooling Thru High School: Math and Science Websites

These websites provide helpful information in a couple of science areas:

Based on the Montessori approach to learning, Shining Light Reading Series incorporates the phonics-based method of language acquisition with images, songs and games to engage your child's intellect.
During six years we used the Brigance Diagnostic Comprehensive Inventory of Basic Skills, Revised and First Edition. We asked each entering student to sing the Shining Light Reading Series (SLRS) Alphabet Song with the teacher. We found that if they recognized the song they scored two grade levels above their classmates who did not recognize the song.

eyeQ Increase your reading speed 2 to 10 times while improving your ability to process information faster than ever before.

"My beginning reading speed was about 380 and I was up to 800 after the first session. I like the fact that I can see immediate results."
